Manual-winding chronograph movement with Co-Axial escapement. Certified Master Chronometer, approved by METAS, it is resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. Textured and darkened lunar relief on the main plate and bridges, with greater lunar detail compared to the previous Calibre 1869, thanks to the defined laser engraving and contrasting surfaces.

In this 44.25 mm model, the Speedmaster's history aboard the Apollo 8 mission is celebrated through the darkened movement, with laser ablation on the main plate and bridges to represent the surface of the moon. The near side can be admired through the skeletonized dial in black anodized aluminum, and the far side is visible through the case back.
Presented with a black rubber strap perforated with yellow rubber on the inside, the watch is entirely crafted in black ceramic and includes chronograph seconds hands in varnished yellow and a laser-engraved tachymeter scale on the bezel filled with white enamel. The small seconds subdial (patent pending) also includes a grade 5 titanium hand in the shape of the Saturn V rocket. This 3D shape is achieved by laser turning, while the colors are obtained by white varnish, ablation, and laser darkening.
The specially decorated movement is the Calibre OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer 3869, while the engravings on the case back include "APOLLO 8, DEC 1968", "DARK SIDE OF THE MOON", "WE'LL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE", and "CO-AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER".
